Royals top group play as Kings, Kwakwani A and B reach final four
The inaugural 4 x 4 Under 18 basketball championship, which is organized by the Kings Basketball Club in association with the Linden Amateur
Basketball Association, will be decided tonight when the semifinals and final will be played at the Mackenzie sports Club hard court.
After qualifying as the top seed, national under-18 3 x 3 champions Victory Valley Royals comprising Kobe Tappin, Emmanuel LaRose, Omar Green, Delroy Belle and female players Cliffanna Hunter and Resheba Carroll are favoured to get past their Kings opponents which has in their lineup former national top player Nichola Jacobs and Andrea Smith and male players Lemuel Wilson, Ming Wong, Neil marks (Jr.) and Jaden Rose.
The other semifinal brings together the Kwakwani A which will feature former national players Shakila Sampson and Kennesha Leacock as their females to choose from with the male players inclusive of
Hosea Conway, who was voted the Most Valuable Player in the recent Youth Basketball Guyana’s year ending Titan Bowl Under-16 championship team.
He along with Elijah David, Hansel John, and Huon Bethune to choose from should get past their B sid
e which has the female players Shania Sears and Attala Rose to choose from along with male players Tyrese Conway, Matthew David, Trevor Garraway and Travis Lewis.
