On Friday the Public Service Credit Union (PSCU) located on Hadfield Street, hosted a “Make a wish Christmas promotion” for persons in the public sector and members of the Public Service Credit Union at the head office.
The organistion is known for strengthening the cooperative movement by encouraging citizens to be successful by engaging in economic ventures via the cooperatives route.
A number of persons applied and filled their coupons at the Head office before the day of the draw. Each applicant was given a fair chance to have their names selected by a rotisserie process. Unfortunately, only five persons were able to claim the $500,000 each.
The five persons whose applications were selected by random were; Grace Lee of the Ministry of Public Health, whose wish was to repay her loan; Mark Cyrus of Region One; Debra Bamfield also from the Ministry of Public Health; and Roslyn Gill from the Ministry of Education, an applicant who filled her form yesterday and was fortunate to be a part of the five.
Odell Semple, the coordinator of the event was the Chairman of the PSCU.
The PSCU said that it wishes to continue this Christmas promotion to satisfy and keep the members of the union happy.
The union is now accepting more members.
Present at the event was Minister of Social Protection, Keith Scott, the Chairman of the PSCU, members of the PSCU, Public Servants and special invitees.
