The Guyana International Kyokushinkai Martial Arts Academy (GIKMAA) has just concluded its final workshop and Exams of the year. A total 56 students took part in Martial Arts workshop (25) and Karate Exam (31) under the watchful eyes of Dr. Nazim Yassim.
Those moving from one level to the next were from the Enmore, Wales, and Enterprise Dojos.

From 10thKyu White to 9thKyu Yellow Stripe:
Jared Jawahir, Joshua Benjamin, Ashton Ragbeer, Tyler Charles, Malcolm Benjamin, and Stephon Richardson.
From 9thKyu to 8thKyu Yellow Belt:
Aryan Mangal, Candace Lydia Ramnauth, Joshua Balkran, Alex Alphonso, Tanush Singh, and
Narvani Singh.
From 8thKyu to 7thKyu Orange Belt: Jonnathan Jawahir and Dion Moore.
From 7thKyu to 6thKyu Green Belt:
Zaheer Assan, Nicholas Rampersaud, Nirel Ramrattan, Ronald Ramkissoon, and Dharshanie Ahmad (having skip the Orange belt).
From 6thKyu to 5thKyu Blue Belt: Totaram Jainarain.
From 2ndKyu to 1stKyu Brown Belt: Bhudesh Schilchand and Shakeel Rahat.
From 1stKyu to 1st Dan Black Belt:
Parashuram Persaud, Govind Ramkuar, Bisram Ramnarain and Ravi Samaroo.
From 1st Dan to 2nd Black Belt: Vikash Samwaru and Umisha Parasram.
From 2nd Dan to 3rd Dan Black Belt: Maranda Bennett.
From 3rd Dan to 4th Dan Black Belt: Kelvin Walcott and Marcell Lynda Yassim.
The students put on an amazing display in their final out door training session in the national park Sunday last, after which they received their certificates.
Asshihan Nazim now looks forward to the Yearend Inter-club Bragging Rights Championship, to be held on December 7th at the Enmore Community Centre.
