All systems are in place for scheduled play in the Brian Tiwari birth anniversary 9-a-side Inter-Ward football Tournament, which is set to conclude tomorrow at the Leonora ground.
Competition starts at 4:00pm with six games to determine the teams advancing to the money round.
The action is set to be explosive with the West Demerara teams gunning to keep the prize money on the Westside.
The tournament has been organized by former national coach Lennox Arthur in recognition of Tiwari’s birthday.
The first prize is $200,000 and the Bradley Gabriel trophy, while second, third and fourth place finishers will take home $100,000 and the Kane Gabriel trophy, $60,000 and $40,000 respectively.
The winners of the opening salvo of games starting at 4:00pm tomorrow will advance to the respective quarters and semis then the final and third place playoff.
