President of the Berbice Cricket Board, Hilbert Foster MS in late September had committed himself to organizing a special cricket match under lights for players associated with the Berbice River Cricket Board. The match attracted a sizeable crowd including residents from both riverain communities, who travelled hours on the Berbice River to be part of the game. Bowling for Ebini, Totaram Sooknanan 3 for 12 and Peter Grant 2 for 14 were the best bowlers.
