The US Ambassador to Guyana, Sarah-Ann Lynch and her team along with Superintendent Keithon King exploring the facilities under construction
Police Division Nine, Superintendent Keithon King, on Thursday at the headquarters in Central Lethem.
According to the Guyana Police Force, the meeting presented the security challenges that are faced by the police with respect to the prevalent crimes in Region Nine. These challenges were discussed as they relate to postures to be adapted to combat the prominent crimes.
The welfare and wellbeing of the ranks were also discussed.
The United States Ambassador pledged the support of the Embassy to assist the police in areas that would aid the police within the Division to execute their mandate of service and protection, the Guyana Police Force stated in a post.
Superintendent King led the team on a tour of the facilities which were currently under construction, including the Mounted Branch among others.
