The GMR&SC’s Clash of Champions two-day International race meet speeds off this weekend at the South Dakota Circuit, Timehri, with a heavily anticipated 23-race programme. Apart from the much buzzed about SR3 Radicals showpiece; the Group 4 battle will set the track aflame with keen action amongst old rivals.
Some 12 competitors are expected to line up in the event that has been the most subscribed by fans for years; those drivers are 2018 & 2017 CMRC Champion Andrew King, two-time CMRC Champion Kristian Jeffrey, Kevin Jeffrey, Mark Vieira, Mark Maloney, Vishok Persaud, Keith Evelyn, Chris Lall, Neil Persaud, Mohan Rangasammy, Rupie Shewjattan and Danny Persaud.
In addition to the Group 4 and radicals showdown, a full field of machines is expected for the local Choke Starlet Cup, Miracle Optical Street and Prem’s Electrical Sports Tuner classes along with groups 2 and 3.
The championship winners of the Choke Starlet Cup, Miracle Optical Street Tuner and Prem’s Electrical Sports Tuner are set to pocket $500,000 each.
President of the GMR&SC, Rameez Mohamed, in a correspondence to the media has noted that tickets for the event will be on sale at the venue at a cost of $2000.
