The Central and South Essequibo T/20 cricket competition continued on Sunday last with victory for Cotton Field Strikers over Rebel’s XI.
Host Cotton Field Strikers batted first and made 200-3 in 15 overs with Carlos Yhap blasting 101 and Rajiv Kissoon 44; bowling for Rebel’s X1 Navin Ram had 1 for 35 off three overs.
Rebel’s X1 were 38- 3 in seven overs in reply when rain prevented further play; Jamal Wilson and Asif Salim 1-8 each and Rajiv Kissoon 1-12 from three overs; the game was awarded to Cotton Field Strikers due to a superior net run rate.
