The Bishop’s High School, Soesdyke and Charlestown Secondary recorded victories when the National Sports Commission / AL Sport and Tour Promotions Annual Christmas Pinktober Secondary Schools Windball Cricket commenced yesterday at the National Gymnasium.
Bishop’s High upset Mae’s Secondary. Mae’s Secondary batted first and scored 114-2; Christine Ramdial made 63 and Crystal Milville 18; Rachel Sukhai had 2-12. Bishop’s High in reply reached 120 without loss; Rebekah Cleto smashed 11 sixes in scoring 75.
East Ruimveldt Secondary took first strike and made 90-3 against Charlestown Secondary; Delana Small slammed 56 while Tomera Mendonca made 36. Charlestown replied with 96 without loss; Kezeya Phillips got 41 and Makalah Mc Ray 34.
Soesdyke Secondary scored 140 without loss, batting first. Aailay David struck eight sixes in scoring 64 while Tenisha Hoyte made 62 with eight sixes. Queenstown Secondary responded with 81-2; Keshia Rawlins made 25.
