HL Latino America of Panama and Regal Stationery and Computer Centre are the latest corporate entities to join the list of sponsors in the annual Prime Minister’s T20 softball cricket competition.
The three-category tournament organised by the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc. (GSCL) bowls off this Friday and concludes on Sunday at the Everest Cricket Club in Georgetown.
HL Latino America is a furniture giant in Panama that specializes in home and office furniture while Regal Stationery and Computer Centre is the local authorised distributor. Both presentations were made yesterday at the Regal Stationery and Computer Centre 69 Seaforth Street, Campbellville.
There are 26 teams in the three categories; Open, Masters and Legends which will see matches being played at venues across Georgetown. Teams from Canada, New York and Florida will compete against the best local teams for more than G$2M in cash and prizes. Samantha Chunilall of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre said they have been associated with this tournament from the inception and they are happy to be on board once again.
She wished the teams well and said they are looking forward to an exciting and successful competition. Secretary of the GSCL Inc Telisha Ousman-Yamin expressed gratitude to both sponsors.
To date, the tournament has attracted sponsorship from Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology, Chung’s Global, P and P Insurance Brokers, Ink Plus, KFC, Elegance Jewellery and Pawn Shop, Banks Beer, I-Bet Supreme, Crown Mining Supplies, Bedessee Sporting Goods, Star Party Rentals, Cyber Sports and USA Cricket Zone.
