Finalists North Georgetown Primary have been found guilty of fielding two ineligible players in the ongoing Courts Pee Wee Football tournament and as a result, they have been disqualified; Genesis Harmony School which lost to them 2-0 in last Saturday’s semifinal will play St. Agnes this Saturday in the final.
In a release to the media, the Petra Organisation notified that after a successful protest which was lodged by Genesis Harmony School, the decision was made following investigations. The protest was against Akeem Joyce and Cristino Rhodius who both participated in the last Saturday’s semifinal round for North Georgetown, they are above the eligible age.
The Petra Organisation thereafter perused the 2017 and 2018 registration records and confirmed Genesis’s protest as being true and accurate. The statement read, “Regrettable, this has resulted in the elimination of the North Georgetown Primary from the tournament as they are guilty of using ineligible players in the competition under different aliases. In addition, Coach Aubrey McKenzie has been suspended for two (2) years, from engaging and / or coaching any team or school that is participating in any tournament coordinated by the Petra Organisation.”
