I wish to bring to your attention a matter that is of serious concern to road users. The only entrance to the Diamond/Grove Housing Schemes is connected to the very busy and congested East Bank Demerara highway. When a motorist wants to get in or out there is always many problems. The presence of the Police is at peak hours and sometimes for long periods the traffic lights are just blinking. Resulting confusion has caused accidents to happen either by motorists boring, getting too close to one another.
My appeal is to the Guyana Police Force, The Ministry of Public Infrastructure and the Road Safety Council to sit together and study this situation with needs urgent action.
Yours sincerely,
Parmanand Ram
