Citizens capture Diamond robber, recover revolver
The Guyana Police Force yesterday applauded the brave and courageous action by members of the public who captured a robber.
The seized gun and ammo.
According to the police, the citizens witnessed an armed robbery committed on a 28-year-old male in front of his Diamond Access Road, East Bank Demerara residence.
They pursued the two suspects and managed to apprehend one of them.
A gold-coloured chain, which was stolen from the victim was recovered from the captured suspect and an unlicensed revolver with six live matching rounds, was found nearby.
Efforts are being made to apprehend the other suspect, police said.
