A little over six weeks ago there was a flooding within the Township of Anna Regina on the Essequibo Coast, Region # 2, and according to the Mayor and his Deputy both of whom visited the affected areas, and had discussion with the residents, the flooding was caused by a pump or maybe two pumps that were not functioning aided in no small way by unclear and silted drains.
While I was driving through these affected communities or villages particularly Devonshire Castle and the neighbouring villages, the flood waters was evident and so was the condition of the trenches and drains, but from then to now, I am not certain if the unserviceable pump or pumps is now serviceable, but the conditions of the trenches and drains remain the same. I only hope there would be no more flooding, but if it does I am certain the Mayor and his Deputy would again visit these communities, but what are they going to tell them, I am not sure.
