The National Procurement and tender Administration Board (NPTAB) yesterday opened bids for a number of projects. The project that hit home however was the Ministry of Public Telecommunications, Renovation Works and Functional Enhancements to call centre building at Kara Kara Linden Region 10.
All bids submitted for this project were above $90M with one contractor reaching a whopping $123.9M. The Engineer’s Estimate projected the works would cost approximately $119.8M.
Last week, the Guyana Defence Force saw bids being opened for a number of rehab and construction works. This week it was discovered that they will be getting additional construction works done in the form of two Drill Hall buildings at two of the organization’s bases and rehabilitation to the Archives Building.
