C6 chalked up 78 games to win the final of the Mark Wiltshire mid-year dominoes tournament which concluded on Monday night last at Dynasty.
Brian Edwards led C6 challenge with 17 games, while Anand Marks contributed 16.
Gangster took the runner up spot with 71 games, while OPKO placed third on 69. Shellon Collymore and Stephon Collymore marked 17 games each for the runner up side, while Richard Mittleholzer and Carla Forde scored 17 and 15 games respectively for OPKO.
Gangster won the semi final encounter with 72 games ahead of OPKO with 66 and Spartons on 61. Shellon Collymore and Sevens Collymore scored 15 games each for Gangster, while Mittleholzer made 17 and Leroy Hack scored 16 for OPKO. Martin Permaul scored the maximum 18 games while Tyrone Ambrose made 15 for Spartons.
The winning team collected a trophy and $90,000, the runner up a trophy and $50,000 and third place $20,000.
Meanwhile, Wiltshire and Nigel Hikel will be hosting a tournament on Sunday at Nigel’s Place 219 Drive Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Entrance fee is $12,000 and the winning team will take home a trophy and $175,000, runner up a trophy and $75,000 and third place $35,000. Double-six time is 14:30hrs and all GNDA rules will be in effect. Teams can call Wiltshire on 659-8672 or Hikel on 611-4886 for registration.
