North Pakaraimas Football Tourney kicks off on Sunday @ Kamana Reg. 8 20 Male and Female teams to compete

The Annual North Pakaraimas Football Tournament is scheduled to kick off this Sunday and will conclude on Friday August 30 in Kamana, Region 8. Some twenty (20) teams will be in attendance, twelve (12) male and eight (8) female teams.
A new female champion would be crowned as 2018 winners, Kato were knocked out in the playoff stage. Defending male champs are Kanapang which would be going for their third successive championship having won in 2018 and 2017.
A grand opening and march-past of the competing teams will take place on Sunday from 09:00hrs. Minister within the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples Affairs, Hon. Valerie Garrido-Lowe and President of the Guyana Football Federation, Mr. Wayne Forde will be taking the salute at the march-past.
FIFA will also be conducting a Coaching Course and Referee Course during the tournament. FIFA Coaching Instructor Mr. Lenny Lake will be the facilitator. The winning teams of this tournament will be representing Region 8 in the Annual Heritage Month Football Tournament set for next month.
