It has been a while since the GTT Land Lines at the Aurora Police Station are not working. It has now become customary for the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph’s service in this Region to go down regularly. But the big question is why the Ministry of Public Security cannot have cell phones placed at this and other Police Stations and inform the public accordingly.
I have seen it done at other Government Ministries in this Region, and it is certainly in the best of ways serving in the interest of the public. I see no reason why these Police Stations cannot have at least one cell phone – 774-4202 is most times not working.
Communication is a very important tool in crime fighting.
