The Golden Arrowhead would be flying in the Twin Island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago from today when that nation hosts the annual Crossfit 12-12-12 Throwdown at the St. Mary’s College Pool then switching to the Woodbrook Youth Facility in Port of Spain.
Organised by Rodney’s Revolution Personal Training Center Ltd., the Guyanese charge for medals will see Omisi Williams, Kelon Reid and Randy Halley representing Team Fitness Addicts taking aim.
Williams and Reid placed 3rd and 5th respectively at this year’s Guyana Fitness Games which was held earlier this year; the duo would be contesting the RX division while Halley will be competing in the Scaled category.
Today will see the athletes taking part in the swimming segment of the two-day competition. Among the RX event #2 (7 min time cap) Buy in – 200 double unders, 21-15-9 deadlifts toes 2 bar, buy out- 200 double unders. RX event #3 (for time) – 21-15-9 snatches: Men 95-115-135lbs, Women 65-95-115lbs, Rope Climbs 3-3-3.
Scaled – Event #1 For time 0 18 min cap – 50 air squats 3km row. Scaled – Event #2 (7 min time cap) But in- 200 double unders, 21-15-9 deadlifts, toes to bar buy-out 200 double unders. Scaled – Event #3 21-15-9 snatches 75/55lbs, bar over burpees.
