Principal of Team Trans Pacific, Krishna Ramsewack, has thrown down the gauntlet with a brave challenge to Team Mohamed’s ‘Goliath’ GT-R come August 25th when the 1320 Heat International Drag Race Meet comes off at the South Dakota Circuit’s drag strip.

Ramsewack is the owner of the Rameez Mohamed driven Trans Pacific Alteeza that clocked an impressive 8.9 seconds during the second round of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) Drag Race championship on June 23rd last.
Although, the machine didn’t match up to the Goliath then, Ramsewack is confident that his machine can beat Goliath and even give the current strip record holder, “Godzilla’ (Team Mohamed’s White GT-R), a run for its money.
Godzilla set the record last June of 8.09 seconds after resetting its sister’s (Goliath) time of 8.54 seconds, but under the supervision of the GMR&SC’s current Mechanic of the year, Balram Ramdeo, Team Trans Pacific is aiming to break the Alteeza IS300 world record that stands at 7.7 seconds. If achieved, that time will also usurp Team Mohamed’s record and probably their rein as the undisputed Kings of the Drag Strip.
“We are coming for the big boys; Mohamed’s, this drag meet. We will look to take down Goliath first and then we will look at Godzilla after. I am confident that our Trans Pacific Alteeza will be way faster than the time 8.9 registered in June,” Ramsewack shared.
In addition to the Trans Pacific/Mohamed’s rivalry, an anticipated three-way battle between Team Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and the Suriname contingent is expected to be heated. T&T’s shipment of vehicles is scheduled to arrive in the coming days while Team Suriname is heavily dependent on the Guyana/Suriname Ferry Service.
Sponsors for the event include R. Kissoon Contracting, Deryck Jaisingh Trucking Service and Machinery Rentals, Delco Ice, Mohamed Enterprise, Prem’s Electrical, E-Networks, Trans-Pacific Auto Sales/Spares, Cyril’s Taxi, Blue Spring Water, Choke Gas Station, Miracle Optical, Tropical Shipping, Associated Construction Services, Hand-in-Hand Insurance, Ramchand’s Auto Body and Tow Truck Service, Imran Auto Work, BM Soat Auto Sales and Spares, Marcia’s Flight Services at Ogle Aerodome, Ibet Supreme, Homeline Furnishing, Motul Lubricant, Jiwanram Printery and Sniper Entertainment Sound Company.
