The Albert town Martial Arts Academy branch of the Guyana Mixed Martial Arts Karate Association, held its first annual karate exam. The exam was conducted by Master Lloyd Ramnarine, Instructor Roman Pollard followed by Zafar Ramnarine, Julie Ramnarine and Alliyah Ramnarine.
The Students did well and here are the results: Vonthe Garraway promoted to yellow belt. Troy Harris promoted to orange belt. Leanna Bernard promoted to orange belt and Whitney Garraway promoted to blue belt.
Sensei Roman Pollard will like to extend invitation to the youth of the community to be involved in Martial Aarts because it’s not all about violence, but discipline. The styles taught are Shotokan, Jujitsu and traditional weapon form. They also thanked Master Lloyd and his family for being there and conducting the exam.
The club is open to the public and it is located on 71 Light Street, Alberttown, having started on 11th March 2019.
