The African Cultural and Development Association Sporting Committee will be hosting a day of sport on August 1 at the National Park starting at 11:00hrs.
Teams from Georgetown, East Bank and East Coast Demerara, along with West Berbice will be vying for supremacy in circle tennis, softball cricket, 5-a-side football and penalty shootout competitions along with dominoes, boxing, 40 and 60m races, cricket for the blind, 5-mile walk and ice cream competition.
The business community is urged to come on board and can make contact with the ACDA on 226-7050 or 225-8420.
A dominoes tournament will be held on August 26 at Guyana Legion and National Park. Entrance fee is $10,000 and double six time is 18:30hrs.
Another domino competition is also billed for August 4 at Mahaicony, while the committee will be hosting a Billiards competition from July 24 – July 30 at Guyana Veterans Legion Hall at Carifesta Avenue. At stake are trophies.
