The Blueberry Hill Committee organised Sixth Village Day takes place tomorrow starting from 11.00hrs with a number of sports activities added to the cultural events for what is expected to be a fun filled day of activities at the Blueberry Hill ball field starting on the access road which leads to the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School in that area of Linden.
However, there is expected to be fierce rivalries with the 5-A-Side football, circle tennis and softball cricket competitions among the sports events carded for the day, while steel pan music, a kids corner and other events for the entire family will be added attractions according to a member of the Blueberry Hill Village Day Committee.
Funds generated from this promotion will assist in purchasing gear for the Blueberry Hill Football Club and bring cohesiveness among members of that community.
Several sponsors have come on board for this annual promotion and they are the Ministry of Natural Resources, Linden Mayor and Town Council, Regional Democratic Council of Region Ten (Upper Demerara/ Berbice), 104.3 Power FM Radio, Kellman’s Taxi Service, Ansa McCal Trading through its Magnum Brand, Kellon Josiah, R and I Sawmill, Commander of E Division, Bolo’s Variety Store, Linden Utility Services Coop Society Limited (LUSCSL) and Haynes Hardware Store,
