In a startling development today, three suspects detained for the murder of money changer Aaron Latchman and his daughter have reportedly said that they were hired by a businessman to kill the father and daughter.
The men have also reportedly told police why the businessman wanted Latchman killed..
Police said the suspects are from Lilliendaal, East Coast Demerara, Agricola, East Bank Demerara and East Ruimveldt.
One of the detained men was recently charged with robbing two moneychangers at gunpoint.
Police have also impounded the getaway vehicle, which bears the licence number PNN 1642.
Aaron Latchman, 47, and his daughter, Arianna, were shot dead on Thursday at their North Better Hope, East Coast Demerara home.
The killers escaped in a white car with an undisclosed sum of cash.
