2019 USATF Youth Outdoor Track and Field Championships Alpha Harrison cops gold in Boys 8&Under 200m; also snares 2 silver medals
Guyanese Alpha Harrison continues to register outstanding performances in the USA. Competing at the just concluded USATF Youth National Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the Durham County Memorial Stadium, Alpha Harrison copped one gold and two silver medals competing in the Boys 8 & Under events; all times being Personal Records (PR).
Alpha Harrison raises his hand as #1 following the Boys 200m Dash 8 & Under Division – Finals presentation.
His gold medal was captured in the 200m Dash in a time of 26.69. The Unattached athlete, in the 400m Dash clocked 1:08.37 which was good enough for the silver medal as was his 100m Dash time of 1:08.37.
Harrison’s brother, Jeremiah contesting the Boys 100m Dash 13-14 Division Finals ended in 7th place. Some 120 teams excluding athletes who competed Unattached participated at the event which took place from June 25-30, 2019.
