After a decade without staging its annual general meetings the Mackenzie Sports Club Management Committee has planned its Annual General Meeting and Elections for tomorrow at the MSC Lounge in Greenheart Street, Mackenzie Linden.
This institution is the centre of sports in Linden and remains the main sports facility because of its vastness.
The MSC led by incumbent President Avery Trim has had some tough years of recent but are looking to re-establish its place among the best clubs in Guyana.
Current President Avery Trim is expected to present his report to the membership as well as the General Secretary Marlon Pearson, while the treasurer’s report is anticipated even with the absence of Treasurer John Trim who is currently out of the country.
However, the members will get a chance to participate in the long waited elections which will certainly chart a new lease of life into this club which has the potential to be great again and lead the sports thrust in the mining town.
It is hoped that while there has been a drop in membership due to several factors, that members would show up and ensure the AGM is held and the elections come off because of its importance in steering the way for sports in this sports mad community.
