A private school teacher who has been accused of taking advantage of some students in his care has been charged with two counts of rape.
Zafiel Yusuf, 27, of Fyrish Village, Corentyne, Berbice is on trial before Justice Jo Ann Barlow and a mixed jury in the Berbice High Court.
He is facing two charges of having sex with a child under 16 years. He is accused of violating two children in April 19, 2017 at a village on the Corentyne.
The accused is being represented by attorney at Law Charlene Artiga. State Prosecutor, attorney at Law Mandel Moore is presenting the state’s case.
The case is being held in camera.
