We Lead Caribbean has announced its third Annual Women’s Leadership and Business Conference, themed “PowHERful: Transition from Inspiration to Action.”
This year’s conference will feature Beyonce Knowles Carter’s publicist, Yvette Noel Schure, as the keynote Speaker.
Noel-Schure, who is originally from Grenada, is responsible for managing Beyonce’s public image since she was 14 years old.
As both the owner of her own company, Schure Media Group, and the head of publicity for Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment, she also represents Beyoncé’s activewear line, Ivy Park, and has worked with artistes like Prince, John Legend, Maxwell, and former Destiny’s Child members, Rowland and Williams.
Noel-Schure said, “For Beyoncé, as my client, I do all of her music press, all of her philanthropic press—basically I’m a part of anything that she touches, so every day is different!”
Abbigale Loncke, President of WeLead Caribbean, noted that her inspiration for the conference comes from a burning desire to empower women to take the lead.
Loncke says that she wants to see women rise up and leave their comfort zone and take appropriate actions to create changes in our society.
“I’m so excited to have Yvette as the Keynote speaker because as a Caribbean woman she can relate to all of our successes and struggles, and the fact that she helped to mold one of the biggest superstars in the world – Beyoncé – means that she knows how to bring out the best in women” Loncke added.
The two-day conference scheduled from September 18 at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre will also feature First Lady Mrs. Sandra Granger; US Ambassador Sarah-Ann Lynch; First Lady of Jamaica, Patricia Allen; Kerensa Gravesande Bart – Strategic Recruitment Solutions; Shalini Beharry – RAMPREM Trinidad; Dr. Vishnu Doerga – Action Invest Caribbean; John Housty – Housty Designs and a list of others.
Topics include The Power of You: Outperform No Matter the Circumstances, Applying Your Emotional Intelligence to Leadership; Charting a Course: A Financial Guide for Women; Branding: Becoming Visible, Own Your A-Game: Fulfill on Your Potential; and How to position yourself for growth, investments and change. Registration for the Conference cost $15,000 (US$75.00).
