Following an intense battle in the final which was contested on Sunday night at Georgetown Cricket Club, Bourda, Providence emerged champions of the Lodge Kyk-over-Al and Lodge Frenaeus dominoes competition.
Providence, who drew the bye to the final, chalked up 49 games to beat All Season’s Racing Service and All Season’s Racing Service Angels in the final of the four-game tournament.
Providence were led by 11 games from Dion Telford and 10 from David Wright, while All Season’s Racing Service placed second with 45 games and All Season’s Racing Service Angels finished in third position on 40 games.
Ronald Beharry, who was named man-of-the-match in the final, made the maximum 12 games, while Dane Bynoe contributed 10 for the runner up side. Barbara Marshall and Nickie October made 10 each for All Season’s Racing Service Angels.
All Season’s Racing Service marked 46 games to win the semi final, while All Season’s Racing Service Angels finished second with 40 games and Gangster was third on 39.
Raymond Alli and Amanda Singh scored 10 and eight respectively for the victors, while Ellen Fraser scored 10 and October eight for the Angels. Gangster were led by Steven’s Collymore and Shellon Collymore with 10 apiece.
Providence pocketed a trophy and $200,000 while All Season’s Racing Service took home $100,000 and All Season’s Racing Service Angels $75,000.
