Cyclists are gearing up for what is anticipated to be a testing 2019 edition of the Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club / 4th Annual Albert Rose Memorial road race sponsored by the Rose Family of Linden.
Set to be a 90 mile trek, this year’s contest will see a loop start being used with the event to end at the Linden/Georgetown Bus Park, Republic Avenue, Linden after riders travel all the way to Silver Hill on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
Categories to be contested are Seniors, Juniors (3 laps), Veterans Under-45 (2 laps), Veterans Over-45, Females and Juveniles will do one lap each. Cash prizes would be at stake.
The LBFCC have indicated that this event will serve as a warm up to the National Cycling Championship scheduled for later this month.
