She is said to be unable to speak and hear, but there is nothing stopping Patsy, 57, from the Tacama waterfront in the Berbice River, Region Ten.
At 57 years old, she loves fishing.
Army helicopter captain, Michael Charles, during a visit last week to the area, insists she is an inspiration. She walks with sticks.
“She did not speak with me…She did not hear me but we communicated effectively. Even with challenges walking, she is full of life and an avid fisherwoman. Again … She may be different, but she is not less.”
