Brazilian woman dies in accident at Cuyuni

The victim just after arriving at the Bartica Regional Hospital
d Hill Backdam Road, Mining District #4, Cuyuni, Region Seven, at around 11:30hrs.
The victim, a cook, was heading to Bartica. She and her husband were reportedly travelling on an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) laden with ration when they swerved to avoid an oncoming Land Cruiser. The ATV turned over in the process, and the woman was struck by the Land Cruiser.
She was rushed to the Bartica Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is currently at the Bartica Hospital Mortuary as the police are continuing with their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the tragic occurrence.
