Guyanese Lionel D’ Andrade won the Siparia Regional Corporation half marathon which was contested on Sunday last in Trinidad and Tobago.
D’ Andrade clocked one hour 22 minutes, 24 seconds to win the events ahead of Errol Williams in 1:23:48 and third place Jedidiah Granger in 1:26:36.
D’ Andrade placed seventh overall and first in his category in the Cocrico 5k which was held on Saturday morning; 752 athletes finished the race.
On Saturday afternoon, the Guyanese placed 14th overall and first in his division when he competed in the Costaat 5k; 431 athletes completed the event. D’ Andrade next assignment is the Tobago 10k on Saturday.
