Hand-In-Hand is once again the official sponsor for the Under-19 Inter-County tournament, which will be played in the 3-Day and 50 overs formats.
Cricket Guyana Inc. has been tasked with handling the logistical and financial responsibilities for the competition which commences today with action in the three-day version.
The first round will see Demerara taking on Essequibo at Bourda and the Select U-17team battling the defending champions Berbice, at Everest Cricket Club. Both matches are scheduled to commence at 10:00 hrs.
The teams are as follows:
Berbice: Kevlon Anderson, Alex Algoo, Junior Sinclair, Leon Swammy , Kevin Umroa, Garfield Benjamin, Gevon Schultz, Chanderpaul Govindan, Jeetendra Outar, Nigel Deodat, Shamar Angel, Seon Glasglow, Doorsammy Mahadeo and Chris Harry. The manager is Neil Rudder and the Coach is Andre Percival.
Demerara: Ashmead Nedd (captain), Sachin Singh, Adrian Hinds, Alphius Bookie, Robin Williams, Andrew Samaroo, Yudister Persaud, Pradesh Balkishun, Joel Spooner, Daniel Mootoo, Satesh Bisram, Zachery Jodah ,Dequan Bemfield and Qumar Torrington. The manager is Latchman Yadram and the coach is Rohan Sarjoo.
Essequibo: Kevin Christian, Ameer Singh, Bhumeshwar Ramkisoon, Jeremiah Scott, Ellian Whyte, Orlando Jailall, Badesh Parsotam, Adrian Ramkirpaul, Lance Roberts, Azim Mohamed, Amit Persaud, Badesh Parsontam, Mervin Benjamin and Amos Sarwan. Ryan Hercules is the Coach and the manager is Fabian Durant.
Select U-17: Matthew Nandu, Sarwan Chitnarine, Marvan Prashad, Mavendra Dindyal, Niran Bissu, Zeynul Ramsammy, Andre Seepersaud, Sheldon Charles, Azizi Christiani, Chandrapaul Ramraj, Jagdesh Dowlatram, Chaitram Balgobin , Avinash Rajkumar and Ajay Gainda .
