Infantryman congratulated by army chief for marriage proposal to policewoman
Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier Patrick West, MSS, has congratulated Corporal Hosannah of Support Company, 1 Infantry Battalion, for the courageous and honourable move in proposing to his fiancée, Annastascia Christopher, of the Guyana Police Force.
Corporal Hosannah surprised his fiancée by publicly taking the knee in uniform and proposing to her while she was on duty, on Saturday, April 21.
Brigadier West invited Corporal Hosannah and his fiancée to meet with him, after news of the Corporal’s chivalrous deed broke on social media over the weekend and made its way to Kaieteur News.
The Chief-of-Staff has also offered the soon-to-be couple premarital counselling through the Force and congratulated them on behalf of the entire Guyana Defence Force.
