The second of the Berbice Cricket Board organised Guyana National Newspapers Ltd/Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS 100 Balls Cricket Tournament for teams in the Upper Corentyne area continued last weekend. Several teams including Skeldon Titans, No. 70 Spartans and No. 64 Fighting Marines recorded victories to advance in the tournament. The Tournament is being contested by 24 teams on a Knockout basis and is one of several tournaments that would be organised by the Berbice Cricket Board for teams in the Upper Corentyne area.
Scores from the matches played are:
1. At Skeldon Ground: Skeldon Titans Cricket Club defeated All Family CWC Cricket Club by 9 wickets on Saturday.
All Family CWC Cricket Club – 111 all out in 16.4 Overs. Trevon Sukhoo 39. Ameer Appalsammy 3 for 15, G. Ramnarine 2 for 11.
Skeldon Titans – 113 for 1 in 10.1 Overs. Gajendra Ramnarine 52 not out, Anthony Seeraj 26, Totaram Rajaram 17 not out.
2. At Crabwood Creek Ground: Skeldon Titans Cricket Club defeated Crabwood Creed Sports Club by 2 wickets on Sunday.
Crabwood Creek Sports Club – 129 for 8 off 100 Balls. N. Deo 52, D. Chalitar 22, J. Singh 16 not out. Faoud Bacchus 3 for 27, Amzan Appalsammy 2 for 13.
Skeldon Titans Cricket Club – 130 for 8 off 100 Balls. Totoram Rajaram 22, Zaikeel Gordon 22, Dwayne Edwards 20. D. Chalitar 5 for 12, S. Singh 3 for 30.
3. At No. 69 Ground: No. 70 Spartans Cricket Club defeated No. 69 Red Rose Cricket Club by 2 wickets on Sunday.
No. 69 Red Rose Cricket Club – 65 all out in 15.1 Overs. Latchman Roopchan 15. Tameshwar Kumar 4 for 19, Omesh Mathura 3 for 7.
No. 70 Spartans Cricket Club – 69 for 2 in 12.3 Overs. Tameshwar Ramoutar 16,
Akash Persaud 22 not out. Latchman Roopchan 3 for 17, D. Seeram 3 for 10, P. Chaitram 2 for 11.
4. At No. 43 School Ground: No. 64 Fighting Marines defeated No. 43 Scorpions Cricket Club by 6 wickets on Sunday.
