Department of Health Region # 5 won the Inter Agency Dominos competition which was organised by the Officer and Ranks of Sub Division No.3 (West Berbice) of ‘B’ Division of the Guyana Police Force.
The one-day competition was held on Wednesday last at the Fort Wellington Police Station Canteen. Although three of the teams (GPL, GWI, GECOM) showed timidity and suffered cold feet, failing to appear, fierce competition ensued amongst the three teams that played.
Those teams were Guyana Police Force No. 3 Sub Division, Regional Democratic Council Region No. 5 and eventual winners, Department of Health, Region # 5. After a very intense competition the results were as follows: Department of Health 82 games, Police 71 and Regional Democratic Council, 69 games.
Samantha De Freitas copped the Most Valuable Player award by scoring 15 games. The activity was coordinated by Officer in Charge of the No. 3 Sub Division Superintendent Wayne De Hearte who informed that the gathering of
the agencies brought about closer collaboration since they are required to work hand in glove.
