Football action in the Bartica Football Association (BFA) is moving full steam ahead and continues to gain encouraging momentum after kicking off in March.
The BFA with support from the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and its partners have combined to have the game playing at least five days per week at the Bartica Secondary School Ground.
In the latest matches, the GFF/BFA Senior League played Monday last saw Mil Ballers Football Club edging Rising Stars Football Club 1-0 in a thriller. The see-saw affair saw chances going both ways, but it was a strike off the booth of Shem Stoby that found the back of the nets for Mil Ballers.
Lazio Football Club and Beacons Football Club also contested a nail biter with Beacons emerging victorious 2-1 compliments of goals from Dwayne Blake and Oswin Joseph. Lazio got their lone goal off the boot of Rozornie La Cruz.
The BFA has disclosed that with the rehabilitated Bartica Community Centre Ground coming on stream soon, the BFA programme will surge ahead with more activities, including female and grassroots initiatives.
