The largest provider of the Association of Business Executives [ABE] courses in Guyana is
Nations School of Business and Management.
The New Market Street, Georgetown institution yesterday announced that it is currently tasked with offering to the public the full range of papers at Levels 4 and 5.
The institution’s Director, Dr. Brian O’Toole, by way of a statement, said, “Nations’ students have excelled at every examination sitting outperforming their Caribbean counterparts on many occasions.”
He disclosed that in the June 2018 examinations, Ms. Laushell Downes was awarded the Top Paper Award worldwide for the Level 5 unit – Analytical Decision Making; Shalena Callender was awarded the Top Paper Award worldwide for the Level 5 unit – The HR Professional, and Rhajcoomar Nare was awarded the Top Paper Award worldwide for the Level 6 unit – Contemporary Developments in Global HRM.
Last December, Ms. Rayann Huggins was awarded the Top Paper Award worldwide for the
Level 5 unit – The HR Professional; Selena Bacchus was awarded the Tope Paper Award
worldwide for the Level 5 unit – Societal and Social Marketing; Mr Gopaul Ramgobin was
awarded the Top Paper Award worldwide for the Level 6 unit – Organisational Design,
Development and Performance and Mr Aravinda Singh was awarded the Top Paper Award
worldwide for the Level 5 unit – Managing Agile Organizations and People.
“Nations warmly congratulates the outstanding performance by our lecturers especially
Mr. Shamar Quintin, Mr Terrence Jaskaran, Ms Anjanie Hackett, Mr Antonio Yhan, Ms Ashme
Singh, and Ms Anna Mohase,” said Dr. O’Toole as he added, “Many exciting developments are taking place at Nations.”
Nations, he said, “will continue to offer the ABE Diploma in Business Management during the day in addition to our usual evening classes. This development will be particularly suited to school-leavers and those persons who are free to study during the day.”
He added, “We are excited to say that we now offer a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration through the University of Bedfordshire in the UK for persons that would have completed their level 5 ABE qualification and also for University of Guyana students who have a diploma and would like to upgrade their qualification within a year to gain a UK degree,” said Dr. O’Toole.
Enrolments are under way for the next intake beginning July 2019.
