Police are investigating a robbery under arms committed on Omeanna Davis, Jermaine Adams and Fidel Smith which occurred about 20:00hrs Thursday.
According to police, the bandits struck first at Davis’s residence, located at Back Street, One Mile Wismar, Linden.
There were three of them–three males, one armed with a handgun and the others with knives.
Police said that investigations revealed that the victims were all in the lower flat of the house when the men pounced and relieved them of an IPhone 8-plus, two gold chains and a sum of local currency.
The three victims were locked inside a bathroom,
The bandits proceeded to an opposite house where they reportedly encountered fierce resistance from a male occupant which caused them to flee empty-handed.
An alarm was raised and Marvis Edwards, 33, a miner from the said community, who was nearby, pursued the suspects and during the process, was shot in his right ankle and leg.
The perpetrators managed to escape in a waiting motor car which was later found at a location in Canvas Street, Wismar.
Police said that two men are in custody assisting with the investigation.
The stolen IPhone was recovered at an abandoned house in Amelia’s Ward.
