For all these years of my life, I have been very proud of my country, until I read Freddie Kissoon’s column of March 26, 2019. “Guyana secretly buries dead foreign prisoners”. How can we blame Trinidad and Barbados for the way they are treating our people at the Airports, especially when they are refused entry, when such atrocities are happening in our own country? How can you keep deportees in a cell until they find their own airfare or die? Is that the practice of principles of social equality (Democracy)?
Do you know how many hundreds of people are deported from Canada and America yearly, and their tickets are paid by the same country?
Nelson Mandela, the international peace and freedom award achiever, is most likely turning in his grave. Shame Guyana, Shame.
