DEAR EDITOR,
I am no legal person, but commonsense tells me that if the PPP appeals the Appeal Court’s NCM decision (to the CCJ) , the Government should also file an appeal – for the other matters that the Appeal Court rejected – i.e. the dual citizenship matter, voting against one’s own list issue etc.
By doing this the Govt. will ensure that the CCJ hears three, four, five or six matters – and not just one.
Personally I sincerely hope that elections are held till next year. Elections are not something that you want every two, three years – business and life in general is severally disrupted. On the other hand I am aware of the fact that those opposition politicians wouldn’t mind if elections are held every year – once they get a chance at regaining power.
Yours faithfully,
Trevor Charles
