Host Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) and Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) played to a draw when the Georgetown Cricket Association Noble House Sea Foods Second Division two-day competition continued last weekend.
Batting first, MYO managed 200 all out in 40.2 overs. Randolph Singh stroked 76 including nine fours and one six, while Vinash Rampersaud made a robust 50 with eight fours and two sixes. Kumar Bishundial bagged six wickets and Rohan Sukhandand had two. GYO responded with 318 all out in 45.5 overs; a lead of 118. J. Thomas slammed 13 fours and six sixes in a top score of 90, while V. Kissoon made 51 with 11 fours, Kumar Bishundial contributed 47, Ricky Hoyte 34, Daniel Barker 27 and R. Muniram 20. B. Bowen picked up four wickets and Chris Surat two.
MYO posted 290 all out, batting a second time. Randolph Singh slammed 110 with 13 fours and three sixes, while Khemraj Ramdeen made 75 including 13 fours, Saheed Gittens got 34 and J. Gardner 20; K. Sukhandand bagged five wickets and Rohan Sukhandand two.
Needing 173 to win, GYO managed to hold on for a draw as they finished on 147-7 at stumps. Kumar Bishundial made 54 with four fours and one six, while R. Muniram made 39 and V. Kissoon 18. Gittens, Chris Surat and B. Bowen took two wickets each.
