The police were yesterday called in to the Office of the Ombudsman where there was supposed to be a bomb. A call was directed to the Office of the Ombudsman reporting a bomb supposedly in the building.
The building was evacuated and thoroughly searched and it was found to be free of any explosive device or material.
It should also be noted that this building houses several government offices.
Recently there have been a number of threats circulating through social media wreaking havoc within schools, both private and public and even at the University of Guyana. This is the first attack/threat on a public office.
