This is my response to a front-page news article entitled ‘Poor Parking’, published in Kaieteur News on January 29, 2019
What type of person causes unnecessary disruption to traffic, by parking his containers (on one occasion two forty-foot containers at the same time) and vehicle without apparent concern for the community and travelling public? By doing so, he is preventing delivery trucks and other large vehicles, etc. from passing.
What type person erects illegal fixtures on the pavement in front of his building, just to prevent anyone from parking without his permission whilst he and his workers park their vehicles on other people’s pavements in the area?
What type of person causes structural damage to the road (Duke Street) as a result of the many heavy equipment, cement lorries, container trucks etc , during the construction of his building without the slightest interest in repairing the damage, thus causing water to lodge after a rainfall?
This person is a bully who has little or no regard for the community and is someone who apparently perceives himself as untouchable, maybe because of his wealth and influential contacts whilst targeting a small man striving to make a living.
