Revenue collection for 2019 is expected to reach a whopping $224B. This is according to the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA). The entity notes that this represents an overall increase of 23 percent.
GRA also did projections for 2020 and 2021, which will mark Guyana’s first two years as an oil producer. The entity noted that in 2020, it projects to collect $247.14B and in 2021, $299.23B.
The revenue authority said that the projections were done using the forecast GDP at Market Price for the years 2020-2021 from the Finance Ministry. (KIANA WILBURG)
