The much anticipated Mark Wiltshire birth anniversary dominoes tournament will commence today at Turning Point, Tucville.
The tournament has attracted a number of top teams locally including Medi Care, Mix Up, All Season’s Racing Service, Spartans, Gold for Money, Turning Point, C7, C6, Phantom, Beacons, Providence, Saddam, Strikers, Rage, Big Boss Trucking Service, Orange Walk, Good Times, Thunder, Bartica, Essequibo, Transport SC and Players.
Kashif and Shanghai organisation is the latest entity to support the event. The entity’s representative Alexis Barrington yesterday handed over one of the top prizes to Wiltshire who expressed gratitude to the organisation for their input. Wiltshire added that an exciting tournament is anticipated and is urging all teams to be at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the start of play.
Barrington stated that they are happy to support the tournament and wished the teams well.
The winning team will take home a trophy and $175,000, runner-up will pocket a trophy and $75,000, third place a trophy and $35,000 and fourth place a trophy and $20,000.
The MVP in the final will take home $10,000, while the best female player in the tournament will pocket $10,000. Action gets underway at 14:00hrs.
