All the round one winners doubled their tally on Friday night at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF)/ExxonMobil Inte
rnational Futsal Festival where Georgetown All-Stars achieved a stylish 7-0 win over their rivals Linden in one of the more anticipated round-robin games. Among the winners on the night were Roraima Galaticos, Caledonia United and Guyana All-stars who had all won Thursday.
Georgetown All-Star 7-0 Linden All Stars
Linden’s Travis Bess did not start the game as goalkeeper but Linden All-Stars still managed to concede seven goals during their second consecutive defeat in Guyana’s first International futsal festival.
Ryan ‘Bam Bam’ Hackett was the star once again and he lead the team to their second consecutive win with a hat-trick, while Hubert Pedro, Kelvin Moore, Stephan Mclean and Adrian Aaron each netted one goal each.
Galacticos de Roraima 6-3 East Coast All-Stars
It was business as usual for the Brazilians with Romailson DeJesus leading the way with a hat-trick while Lucas Martins, Maxivon Carvalho and Raphael Lopes found the back of the net once each. Guyana All-Stars 5-2 West Demerara All-Stars
Eusi Phillips, Delroy Deen, Sheldon Sheppard, Andrew Murray and Solomon Austin all got on the scoresheet once for Guyana during a seven goal thriller again
st West Demerara’s best. One goal each from Dion Terrence and Trayon Bobb (a 2-2 equaliser in the second half) gave the West side some hope before Guyana All-Stars showed their depth and ran away with the game to give West Dem their second loss.
Morvant Caledonia 5-0 ZV All-Stars
The Surinamese torrid run continued on Friday after suffering their second defeat during round two play to Trinidad and Tobago’s (T&T) Morvant Caledonia.
