Playing in front of a sizeable crowd, Rose Hall Town Gismos & Gadgets won the toss and elected to take first strike despite some preparation moisture on the pitch. They were soon in deep trouble at 01 for two wickets in the third over as they lost Junior Sinclair LBW to left arm spinner Trevlon Stanislaus in the first over and his older brother Jason Sinclair bowled by left arm medium Devindra Ramoutar for naught as well. Kevin Sinclair (37) and National allrounder Clinton Pestano (30) then added 50 for the 3rd wicket in 16 Overs as scoring on the sluggish pitch was difficult. Sinclair then threw his wicket away as his team slipped to 51 for 3. Vidal Crandon 22, Eon Hooper 15, Kevlon Anderson 20 then added crucial runs as Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets were bowled out of 132 in 35.3 Overs. Bowling for Young Warriors Cricket Club, offspinner Ishwar Singh took three wickets for two runs from 2.3 overs, left arm spinner Trevlon Stanislaus 2 for 22, while Devindra Ramoutar, Suresh Dhanai and Linden Austin took a wicket apiece. At the lunch interval, Young Warriors Cricket Club were confident of over hauling the target of 132 but the powerful Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets bowling attack had other plans.
Young Warriors Cricket Club started like a house on fire as National Under-19 player Alex Algoo tore into offspinner Eon Hooper, hitting 22 runs from the first over of the innings. Algoo and fellow opener Ishwar Singh raced to 51 without loss in the sixth overs as Young Warriors looked to finish the game early. Pestano, bowling full and fast, trapped Singh LBW for 22 in the 6th over before
rocking back the stumps of Ricardo Ramdihal for naught to leave the home team on 56 for 2. Pestano then knocked the life out of Young Warriors Cricket Club by dismissing Linden Austin 00, Vishal Mohabir 00, Trevlon Stanislaus 00 and Amir Khan 00 to bowl out Young Warriors Cricket Club for 81 in just 14.1 Overs. The last man S. Satar was run out for 00 as Berbice Under-19 left arm spinner Keith Simpson supported the fiery Pestano with 2 wickets for 20 runs from 5-Overs. Eight of the strong Young Warriors batting line up failed to trouble the scorers.
