The Berbice Cricket Board last Monday started its 30th and final tournament when it hosted the first round of the 2019 Ramnaresh Sarwan Under-17 Inter-Club Cricket Tournament. The Berbice Cricket Board would be using the Tournament to select its team for the 2019 Inter-County Under-17 Championship. A total of seventeen teams are involved in the tournament which is being played on a Round Robin basis with the top teams advancing to the quarterfinals.
BCB President Hilbert Foster stated that the tournament was the 2nd of its kind for 2018 as the first one was won by Rose Hall Town Bakewell ‘A’ who defeated Albion Community Centre in the Final. The BCB after the fifth round on Friday 28th December, 2018 would name a 26 man squad for trials.

a) At Mt Sinai Ground: Tucber Park Cricket Club defeated Mt Sinai Cricket Club by 231 runs.

b) At Bush Lot Ground: Achievers Cricket Club defeated Blairmont Community Centre ‘A’ by four wickets.

c) At Bush Lot Ground: Achievers Cricket Club defeated D’Edward Cricket Club by 9 wickets. D’Edward 73 all out in 20-Overs. Anthony France 20, Jayden Samuels 3 for 13, Collis Noble 4 for 19. Achievers 74 for 1 in 10.4 Overs. Darius Joseph 22, Odel Miller 17 not out.
d) At D’Edward Ground: Achievers Cricket Club defeated Blairmont Community Centre ‘B’ by 184 runs.

f) At Rose Hall Canje Ground: Tucber Park Cricket Club defeated Kendall’s Union Cricket Club by ten wickets.
